"Countdown to Race Day: 37 Days to Go!"

Dear Myrtle Beast OCR Participants,

We are only 37 days away from race day! As we approach the finish line, it is important to make sure you are properly preparing for the event. Here are some tips to help you get ready:

Train consistently: Make sure you are following a regular training schedule to build up your endurance and strength.

Hydrate: Stay hydrated leading up to the race by drinking plenty of water and avoiding sugary drinks. Hydration is key to your performance on race day, so make sure you are drinking plenty of water every day.

Sleep: Getting enough sleep is crucial for proper recovery and to help you perform at your best. Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep each night and avoid any late nights or early mornings that could disrupt your sleep schedule.

Fuel your body: Eating a balanced diet that includes plenty of carbohydrates, proteins, and healthy fats will help give you the energy you need to tackle the course. As race week approaches, consider increasing your carbohydrate intake to help fuel your muscles and increase energy levels for the big day.

Race week carb loading: In the days leading up to the race, it is important to increase your carbohydrate intake to help your body store up the energy it needs to perform. Try to eat a diet that is high in carbohydrates and low in fat, and make sure to hydrate properly. Some good carb-loading options include pasta, rice, potatoes, and whole grain bread.

Mental preparation: Visualize yourself conquering the obstacles and crossing the finish line. This will help boost your confidence and mental toughness.

Remember, the most important thing is to have fun and enjoy the experience. Good luck and see you on race day!

Sincerely,

The Myrtle Beast OCR Team.
